Exceptional Lunar (Muslim) Holidays 2018 For Central Government Offices

Following are the Holidays to be observed or celebrated in Central Government Offices during any calendar year. It is generally decided that the holidays mentioned in the Annexure I to this O.M. will be considered in all the Administrative Offices of the Central Govt. across the states of India. Apart from that, every worker is allowed to obtain himself/herself of any 2 holidays to be selected by him/her from the list of 2018 Restricted Holidays in Annexure-II.

There are 3 more holidays to be accumulated by the Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee in the State Capitals apart from the compulsory holidays.

There won’t be any substitute holiday for festival holidays 2018. With exception to the festival like Idu’l Fitr, Idu’l Zuha, Muharram & Id-e-Milad, if permits, based upon sighting of the Moon, would be announced.
